Do you want to be Healed

Aug 16, 2026

What if the thing keeping us from moving forward isn’t simply what happened to us, but what we’ve become comfortable carrying?

In John 5:1–10, we meet a man who had been suffering for 38 years. Jesus asks him a powerful question: “Do you want to be healed?” His encounter with Jesus reveals that healing is about more than fixing what is broken on the outside. Sometimes God wants to do a deeper work within us—healing the places of hurt, disappointment, fear, and comfort that can keep us from stepping into the freedom He has for us.

The place where we’ve experienced our greatest hurt may also become part of the story God uses to bring healing to someone else.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10

Your story doesn’t end with what happened to you. In Christ, your healing can become part of someone else’s healing, and your story can become part of God’s greater purpose.

Do you want to be healed? And are you ready to walk in what God has created you to be?
