Unusable

Week 2 of our series A Person of the Spirit takes us deeper into the book of Acts as we explore the powerful and challenging story of Simon the Sorcerer in Acts 8. In today’s message, titled “Unusable,” we confront the difference between being impressed by the power of God and being transformed by the Spirit of God.

Simon believed, watched miracles, and even desired the power of the Holy Spirit—but his heart revealed a deeper issue. This message challenges us to examine our own motives: Are we truly surrendered to the Spirit, or are we trying to use God for our own gain?

A person of the Spirit isn’t just someone who sees what God can do—they are someone who has been changed from the inside out, living with humility, repentance, and a genuine desire for God’s will above all else.
